  • The safou is an african wild plum growing on the “safoutier” tree. This fruit is recognizable by the many colours its skin can take. It is often eaten boiled or roasted in Africa, with a pinch of salt.

The safous we are cooking with come from Congo. We then add onions, lemon and several herbs to create an smooth and delightful cream.
Spread the Safou Cream on a toast and you will have a delicious appetizer with a unique taste. It also fits very well with meat, fish and sauces.
